Funding Stream: Programming Funding

The Programming Funding stream supports ongoing activities that contribute to the development of official-language minority communities. Funding can cover eligible organizational operating costs associated with delivering these activities.

Priority is given to programming that has a lasting effect and strengthens relationships between community stakeholders.

Consideration is also given to programming that aligns with the Government of Canada's Official Languages mandate and contributes to reconciliation with Indigenous Peoples. Initiatives should support the objectives of the Development of Official-Language Communities program.

Eligible Applicants:

• Canadian non-profit organizations, duly registered
• Canadian associations, institutions and foundations
• Canadian for-profit organizations, for non-profit activities only
• A government entity, only when it is the only organization able to manage a school community centre

Eligible organizations must represent the interests of official-language minority communities. Their mission, mandate or majority of activities must support the development and enhancement of official-language minority communities at the national, provincial, regional or local level.

Ineligible Applicants:

• Individuals
• Government organizations, except where they are the only organization able to manage a school community centre
• Universities
• Schools
• School boards
• Foreign institutions and organizations

Eligible Programming:
Ongoing activities that:

• Support official-language minority community development
• Strengthen relationships between community stakeholders
• Have a lasting impact on the community
• Support the development and enhancement of official-language minority communities
• Align with the Official Languages mandate
• May contribute to reconciliation with Indigenous Peoples
