The FCC AgriSpirit Fund supports capital projects that benefit residents and enhance quality of life in communities with fewer than 50,000 people. Eligible organizations can apply for funding between $10,000 and $25,000 for projects such as community building upgrades, agriculture and food initiatives, environmental improvements, accessibility and inclusion projects, and food recovery or food waste reduction initiatives.
Eligible activities/projects:
Construction or upgrades to community buildings
Initiatives supporting agriculture and food
Projects that reduce environmental impact
Accessibility and inclusion projects
Food recovery or food waste reduction initiatives
Ineligible activities:
Operating budgets or debt reduction
Fundraising, unless funds are directed to a specific eligible capital project and FCC receives recognition for its contribution
Individual projects or interests
Initiatives benefiting members of a religion or political party
Daycares, private schools or preschools
Projects that adversely impact the environment
For-profit entities
Political groups or organizations directed by an elected federal official
Communities with more than 50,000 people
Initiatives located outside Canada
Sports teams or equipment purchases
Organizations that have received FCC AgriSpirit funding within the past five years or do not pass FCC's required background check are also ineligible.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must:
Be located in a community of fewer than 50,000 people.
Have not received FCC AgriSpirit Fund funding within the past five years.
