Description

Funding for employers and self-employed reservists to offset costs when reservists are away on eligible full-time military operations or training.

Program objectives:

  • Provide financial compensation to employers and self-employed reservists during eligible military deployments.
  • Support reservists' participation in military operations.
  • Increase awareness of the value and contributions of reservists.

Expected outcomes:

  • Employers are compensated for operational impacts.
  • Stronger relationships between reservists and civilian employers.
  • Improved support for reservists balancing work, family, and military commitments.
  • Greater public awareness of the Reserve Force and its role in Canadian communities.
Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible, the applicant must be the employer of a reservist employee who:

  • Is a member of the Primary Reserve or Canadian Rangers
  • Is deployed on an eligible operation or military skills training for at least 30 days
  • Meets the minimum employment requirement (30 hours/week for 13 consecutive weeks before the leave)
