Description

The Canada Strong Pass Initiative, available under the Museums Assistance Program (MAP), provides financial assistance to provincial and territorial museums participating in the Canada Strong Pass. The program helps cover increased costs associated with implementing the initiative and compensates for lost revenues from providing free admission for children under 18 and 50% discounted admission for youth aged 18 to 24.

Program Objectives

  • Help the next generation discover all that Canada has to offer
  • Increase accessibility to Canada's museums, parks and historic sites by making them more affordable
  • Support heritage organizations implementing Canada Strong Pass pricing structure
  • Provide financial assistance to compensate for lost revenues and increased operational costs

  • Utilize visual materials provided by the department to promote Canada Strong Pass

Key Requirements

  • Organizations must have reported admission revenues for their last completed fiscal year
  • Eligible participating heritage organizations may be included in the Canada Strong Pass website listing of participants
