Description

The RCE is part of Global Affairs Canada’s Indo‑Pacific Engagement Initiative (IPEI), aligned with the Indo‑Pacific Strategy. It supports Canadian non-governmental stakeholders, including NGOs, educational and research institutions, think tanks, Indigenous organizations, cultural associations, and advocacy groups, in connecting with regional counterparts in the Indo‑Pacific. It funds activities such as conferences, workshops, round tables, panels, training, research, cultural events and Indigenous reconciliation initiatives, in Canada or in the Indo‑Pacific region.

Organizational Requirements:

  • Your organization is legally incorporated in Canada.
  • Or your organization is an Indigenous organization (Inuit, Métis and First Nations organization) in Canada.
  • You are not a sovereign entity (government), for-profit organization or an individual.

Project Requirements:

  • Your proposed project is starting after April 1, 2026, and ending prior to March 31, 2028.
  • You're requesting Global Affairs Canada funding of at least $20,000 and no more than $250,000.
  • Your proposed project is in line with one or more of the Strategic Objectives of the Indo-Pacific Strategy.
  • Your proposed project duration is no longer than 2 years.
Additional information
  • Applicants must be pre-registered in the application portal well ahead of the deadline.
  • Ensure alignment with Indo‑Pacific Strategy objectives and evidence of collaboration with Indo‑Pacific partner organizations.
  • Avoid delays: portal access and org profile setup may take significant time.
