Projects must provide broadly accessible testing services, demonstrate long-term operational sustainability, and support technology validation, certification, prototyping, demonstration, or scale-up activities. The program aims to strengthen Canada’s innovation capacity, reduce reliance on foreign testing facilities, and support the transition of clean energy solutions from development to deployment.

The CRTC Broadband Fund supports projects that expand or improve broadband connectivity in underserved areas of Canada. Through Call 4, funding is available for projects that provide new or upgraded fixed broadband Internet service that meets or exceeds 50 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload speeds, as well as certain projects serving satellite-dependent communities. The program aims to advance universal access to reliable high-speed Internet, prioritize efficient use of public funding, and reduce duplication with other publicly funded broadband initiatives.

This grant supports community-based projects that enhance the social inclusion, participation, and well-being of seniors. Projects of up to $50,000 must align with one of five objectives: encouraging senior volunteering, promoting mentorship, raising awareness of elder abuse, increasing social participation, or improving facilities and spaces for seniors through capital assistance. Capital projects must also support at least one additional objective and may allocate up to $25,000 toward eligible capital expenses.

Accessible Canada – National AccessAbility Week Funding is available for projects that promote accessibility and disability inclusion through National AccessAbility Week activities across Canada.

Eligible organizations can apply for up to $180,000 for scalable projects or up to $360,000 for regional or national initiatives. The program is open to disability-serving non-profits, municipalities, educational institutions, health and social service organizations, and Indigenous organizations.
